Patacones are slices of green plantain, fried and flattened, an everyday dish in Colombia, Venezuela and much of the Caribbean. Here they come with guacamole, feta and pico de gallo. Patacones Rellenos are fried green plantain cups filled with shredded beef and finished with guacamole, pico de gallo and feta. They sit among the sharing plates, so most people order them for the middle of the table alongside some tequeños.

Tequeños are cheese sticks wrapped in shortcrust pastry, a classic Venezuelan snack, and they come with two sauces. The green plantain chips are topped with minced beef, cabbage, pico de gallo, pickled onion and coriander mayo. If you fancy another sauce, the homemade ones can be ordered as extras: coriander ranch, ranchera, soured cream, coriander mayonnaise, chipotle hot sauce or mango chutney.

Honduran baleada, beef tacos and chicken flautas

The baleada is a classic dish from Honduras: a homemade wheat tortilla, folded and filled. Ours has refried black beans, feta and soured cream, and you can add scrambled egg, chorizo or avocado. With homemade corn tortillas we make the Taco de Ternera, with shredded beef, pico de gallo and pickled onion, and the Flauta de Pollo: three tortillas filled with shredded chicken and fried until crisp, the Mexican way.
